No machine or sewing experience required! English paper piecing is a relaxing, creative way to make beautiful geometric designs and use up small fabric scraps. In this introductory class, we’ll guide you through the basics of EPP, from selecting fabrics to working with paper templates and hand-stitching shapes together. Perfect for beginners or quilters looking for a portable project, this technique is meditative and easy to pick up. Join us to start your first EPP project and discover the joy of slow hand stitching!

Instructor Bio: Emily Theis is a modern quilter and garment sewist based in Chicago. After shifting careers from art direction and graphic design into tech, she fell in love with quilting as a creative outlet. She delights in solid-colored fabrics, sourcing secondhand materials, learning new garment construction techniques, and sharing the fun of sewing with others.
