Intermediate Level Apparel | Sew the new Grainline Studio Poppy Dress
4 Week Class: Sundays 2:00-4:00 pm
Dates: November 17, December 1, 8, & 15
This class is for intermediate or confident advanced beginners. You should comfortably know how to use a sewing machine and cut out a pattern. Students will need to cut their pattern and fabric prior to the first class. After registration, we will contact you to schedule a time to pick up your printed pattern and choose your fabric. You can cut at home or schedule a time to use our cutting tables.
We will be sewing a tiered, gathered dress: the Grainline Studio Poppy. The pattern (available in extended sizing) is included with your course fee. When entering your name at registration, please also include which pattern size you prefer, 0-18 or 14-32. Refer to the sizing charts provided below.
The Poppy is a versatile and playful dress, fitted at the shoulders and relaxed through the body thanks to tiered gathers in two lengths. Make it your own with your choice of short sleeves or long sleeves gently gathered into cuffs. Use flannel for a cozy winter dress, make a breezy picnic dress in cotton lawn, or choose a glittery lamé for a special party look.
