Learn To Sew Workshop: Sewing Machine 102
1 Day, 2-Hour Workshop: See current date/time options under "Select dates"
Welcome to Sewing Machine 102! This beginner-friendly workshop is the next step after Sewing Machine 101 or for anyone that could use a little refresher on the basics. Ages 15+
We use Bernette B37 sewing machines, but you are welcome to bring your own to learn on as well. Please let us know with a note with your machine make/model at registration/check-out or send an email to admin@sewoncentral.com so we can be ready to help set it up.
What You’ll Learn:

Re-Introduction to Sewing Machines: We'll briefly review the different parts of a sewing machine and how they work together.

Machine Set-Up: We'll review how to thread the machine and wind/insert the bobbin, as well as how to change the needle.

Basic Stitches: You know the straight stitch, but we'll practice it with different stitch lengths, we'll try the zig-zag stitch with different widths and lengths, and you'll get to try out a few embroidery stitches as well.

Sewing Project: We'll sew together a simple tote bag using your new knowledge!
