Advanced Beginner Level | Sew the Noodlehead Sandhill Sling
3 Week Class: Saturdays 10:00am-12:00pm
Dates: June 14, 21, & 28
This class is for advanced beginner sewers; open to adults and teens, 13 and up. You should comfortably know how to use a sewing machine.
We love this Sandhill Sling! It's been a favorite or ours for years now, and it's a fun summer project to take along for travel, biking, farmer's markets, and more. It’s convenient sling design allows for easy access as well as being out of the way when you’re not using it. It is compact yet roomy enough for the essentials.
In this class you will learn:
- How to follow a pattern
- How to sew curves
- How to insert a zipper in two ways and how to use zipper-by-the-yard
- About different type of interfacing and how to use them
- How create pockets in different styles, zipped, snap closure, &/or elasticized
- More advanced sewers can learn how to modify the pattern to make a different size, additional straps or pockets, etc
