How to Sew a Patchwork Stocking

Sewing strips of holiday fabric into a stocking is a fun and festive project. We used 16 strips 3 x 15 inches, sewing right sides together. Iron all your seams flat and then cut out a stocking shape. We lined the stocking with a longer stocking shape (4 inches longer), and added a ribbon for hanging. While Christmas and holiday fabrics look great, you can use other scraps, think plaids, ginghams and even solids.
